The Mikulski Workforce Development Center

Built by Project SERVE
members, the Mikulski Workforce Development Center is a community-based center featuring flexible education and multipurpose space and offices for the Foundation's programs serving at-rish youth and the under-employed in the East Baltimore Empowerment Zone and surrounding counties.
Each phase of construction of the Mikulski Workforce Development Center provided valuable on-the-job training and experience for participants of the Project SERVE program. Project SERVE members contributed to the building's construction from start to finish as part of their job skill and service training. Their skill and hard work, as well as the commitment of their experienced job skill teacher, provided the majority of the labor in this project and gives Living Classrooms Foundation a permanent source of pride for their efforts within the community.
