The Chesapeake Bay Trust Wetlands is the only tidal wetlands in Baltimore's Inner Harbor and was planted by at-risk youth in 1990. Living Classrooms Foundation, in coordination with the Department of Natural Resources and the Chesapeake Bay Trust, worked with students to re-establish the native species of plants found in the wetlands. Students removed trash and non-native plants living in the wetlands, as well as participated in the growing and planting of native grasses.
