Camp Fraser is also available for group retreats, programs, and events.
Camp Fraser is managed and programmed by Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region, and is owned by Calvary Baptist Church, Washington DC. This partnership is aimed at using the natural jewel that is Camp Fraser to benefit and educate the National Capital Region through recreation, camps, educational programs, and access to the outdoors.

Programs
Living Classrooms offers adventure and ropes course programs, teambuilding and nature lessons to summer camps and school groups. Our hands-on, experiential apporach to learning complements formal in-class education. Choose from a daytime visit with activities and lessons led by trained outdoor educators, or stay overnight for a camp out in our camper houses and indoor bunk beds! All of our educator staff are trained in environmental science, outdoor education, and are first aid and CPR certified.

Year-Round Programming Includes:
  • Ropes Course- Participants have the opportunity to challenge themselves on the Fraser high ropes course, climbing wall, or team building course.
  • Forest Ecology- Students will explore a local deciduous forest, learn about forest lifecycles, and the habits of forest wildlife.
  • Watersheds-Students will learn about ponds, rivers, watersheds, and the animals that inhabit them, as well as conduct water quality testing.
  • Orienteering-Students learn the basics of navigation, learn the feature of a compass, and use their acquired skills to map a course through the woods.
Accommodations
The Fraser lodge houses all that is needed for indoor meetings of up to 100 people. The commercial kitchen is well equipped and is convenient for food preparation. There is a multi-purpose room for larger gatherings and for dining. Bunk beds sleep up to 48 overnight in 4 dormitory rooms downstairs. Men and women's restrooms with two showers each are also located on the lower level.
