Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park

The Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park is a Living Classrooms Foundation campus and national heritage site that celebrates the legacy of Baltimore�s own Frederick Douglass, Isaac Myers, and the first shipyard established by African-Americans in 1868 right at the water�s edge on the Inner Harbor in historic Fells Point.

The courtyard and pier overlooking the water as well as the indoor Bearmen Gallery are available for rent for your wedding, corporate holiday party, or special occasion.

East Harbor Campus Patio and Tower

Located in the heart of Fells Point, Baltimore, our East Harbor campus is the perfect destination for your next special event or corporate meeting. With indoor and outdoor space and a tower overlooking the city, your guests will enjoy beautiful views of the water�s edge on the Inner Harbor.

USS Constellation

Host your corporate meeting, anniversary party, holiday party, etc. on the Historic USS Constellation. All four decks of the ship are available to your guests, and the USS Constellation and its dock can accommodate parties of up to 500 people.


Located on Pier 5 in Baltimore, the US Coast Guard Cutter Taney is one of seven Treasury/Secretary Class cutters built for the US Coast Guard and is open to the public during the day. Special events may be arranged outside of advertised museum hours.

Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse

The Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse was built in 1855 and is the oldest screw-pile lighthouse in Maryland. Located on Pier 5, Baltimore Inner Harbor, the Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse is open to the public during the day and can be reserved to hold corporate parties and private receptions.

Half Shell

Docked at Diamond Teague Park, located on the Southeast waterfront in Washington, DC, the Half Shell is a historic 1928 Chesapeake Bay buyboat, bringing history to life. For more information, please call the Living Classrooms office at 202-488-0627, ext. 242.

Lady Maryland

The Lady Maryland is a replica of a Chesapeake Bay pungy schooner, a boat which sailed the Bay in the 1800's. Built by Living Classrooms in 1985, Lady Maryland is pink and green because these are the traditional colors for pungy schooners.

Originally built in 1901, the Sigsbee served in the oystering fleet for 88 years. In 1990, the vessel was completely rebuilt and the only original parts of the boat remaining are the mast step, steering wheel, and some hardware. Today, Sigsbee sails as part of the Living Classrooms Foundation's educational fleet serving thousands of students per year.

Camp Fraser

Camp Fraser lies on approximately 76 acres of wooded land, surrounded by more than 220 acres of Fraser Preserve, an undeveloped area managed by the Nature Conservancy. It is located a few miles from Great Falls, Virginia and just a 45-minute ride from downtown DC. Camp Fraser is available by reservation for user-run programs, retreats, events, or other usage.

Kingman and Heritage Islands Park

Located on the Anacostia River near the RFK Stadium in Washington DC, Kingman and Heritage Islands Park is a great venue for your event, large or small. The venue of the Kingman Island Bluegrass Festival, which drew over 8,000 people last year, Kingman Island is a great place for family reunions, races, and concerts. Click here for more information.
