Welcome home, USS Constellation!

For the past four months, you may have noticed something missing in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The USS Constellation was dry docked in October at the U.S. Coast Guard Yard's 115-year old shipyard for a critical four month restoration process. Thanks to the hard work of skilled men and women, work to her hull was completed in February. Weather and ice delayed her return to the Inner Harbor, but we welcomed her back on March 12th.
Members of Project SERVE, a Living Classrooms Foundation program that provides on-the-job training for unemployed ex-offenders and disadvantaged young adults through construction and revitalization work, served as an integral part of the restoration process.
The USS Constellation re-opened to the public as a "living classroom" on March 13th.
